Challenges
Example retail sector. Trying to share point of sell data with a number of suppliers that they stock inventories for. That’s a super common use case for retails except when they sharing data with a potential completing product. They would not want to get data in the wrong hand. Data security and data governance become something that top of the mind of these organisations. So when the user thinking about data sharing, they would want a solution that would be secure, be simple and really be governed as well.
Most user currently using FTP. This type of sharing is not really conductive to big data environment. It require additional maintenance and also not the most efficient way if you have a terabytes of data to share.
More than expected that are actually extorting data to usb drives and sharing it by querying usb drive to their consumers. That not the most sufficient way. It is difficult to track, manage and not suitable for big data.
Goal and Solution
Cross organisation data sharing B2B super easy and secure from azure to azure.
Users should be-able to easily share data code free with just a few clicks. Eliminate need to set up infrastructure, ingesting data or loaded data in to FTP service, share and extracted and loaded into analytics systems.
Process
I met with product management daily to present concepts and respond to requests from engineering. These meetings, each lasting about thirty-minutes, were critical to keeping us focused and agile. We also met several times a week with the engineering team to discuss progress and blocking items.

Azure Data Share launched general availability in January 2019.
